KRUGER PARK - MARCH 2007
Mr Elephant! There are way too many elephants in the Kruger Park at the moment. The stupid greenies are stopping the rangers from culling them. Typical.
The man himself, Paul Kruger
The entrace to the Olifants camp.
Albert and "Oom Doe" trying to spot animals early in the morning!
Albert Bouwmeester
Joe, Wian, Linda & Damien

Kori Bustard. We've both never seen this one before!
Southern carmine bee-eater
Hang on tight!!
Our bungalow at Olifants. We spent our first night here.
Albert having great fun riding "Mr Olifant!"
Joe & I went for a morning walk. We left at 4:45am and came back at 9:30. There was 6 of us in the group, plus two rangers. It was great, we saw lots of the smaller things that you dont get to see from the car. Everything smells so nice and fresh early in the morning too.
This is a frogs nest!! They make a foam nest in the tree, then when the eggs get bigger and heaver, it falls into the water underneath and the tadpoles hatch. Neat hey?
We felt much safter after seeing these guns!
Kudu
Purple Roller. These birds are cool, they fly really high up, and then they come back down doing all these fancy loops and stuff. Looks like an air-show!
African Paradise-flycatcher
African grey hornbill. I think its a young one.
Natal Francolin
One huge rhino!
This was on our morning walk...Joe had to pee...so the ranger said he had to come with to fight off any snake eaters that might be hiding in the bushes :-) ha ha... Some punks crossing the road
Look at me, I'm so handsome!! (not!) Its a Marabou Stork; I couldn't get a front-on shot, then you'll really see how ugly he is!
I got this funny feeling that something was watching us...
Bateleur. I think we were pretty lucky to see this one.
This elephant was determined to chase all the buffalo away!
Ugly Hyena!
Our last night was in Skukuza - cute little bungalow.
My handsome husband :-)
Me getting nice and close to an elephant and thinking..."this fence is kinda low?!"
Mummy bat with baby bat. Can you work it out?
