EASTER WEEKEND - LOSKOP DAM
We went camping for Easter Weekend with the Kerkhoffs, its a beautiful place, we camped right infront of the water. Theres lots of crocs and hippos, so you're not allowed to swim or ski on the dam!!
Some lizzard. Sorry, but i dont know what it is. But it runs up and down the trees and has a green head. :-)

Pa, Ma & Joe

Cornelia

Lots of singing & laughing around the campfire (Joes 3 sisters - Wilna, Marieke & Cornelia)

Pa, singing and entertaining as usual!!

Mariekes friend Saskia also camped with us for the weekend. Jeske, Wilnas friend from Holland. She is staying in South Africa for 3 months. Bart. He is the trouble-maker that came over with his friend Johan friday night, and went out kuiering with Joe and generally keeping the whole campsite awake. hmmm. :-) Joe singing RAMBO with Pa. His favourite song. Ask him to sing it one day. Johan (trying to look sweet & innocent) and Wilna. My stomach was sore from laughing at this guy's stories!!! Joes youngest sister Marieke. Shes a real entertainer, going to take over from Pa one day I reckon!! Jeske & Wilna
Saskia trying to catch some fish. She's not scared to put worms on the hook!!Marieke & Saskia Johan, Bart and Wilna - lots of meat on the braai...yummm!!! Joe about to take "Boogie Boy" for an early morning ride on the water. All around the dam is nature reserve, so you might see a Rhino, Kudu's, baboons etc etc :-)

Me stading next to a memorial to all the Afrikaaners that worked on the dam wall. 'Scuse the pun!!

A nation's will and work shall see the fruit in their offspring. Tribute to all the Afrikaners whose sweat fell here.

The dam wall, we've had lots of rain, so it was overflowing.

I took this photo from the boat looking towards to dam wall, you cant see it very well on the photo, but it looks like the edge of the world! Luckily we didn't float over!

The next few photos is from the area in Loskop where Oom Eppie Kampman has been working for quite a while now. It was a lodge that burnt down.

The entrance to where we were camping.

There's a Kudu if you look closely! (Joe spotted that one)Baboons on the riverbank. The sun was shining right at my camera, so its not very clear.
